Greater Minnesota Credit Union recently hosted a week-long Silent Auction in each of its six branches to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). In Minnesota, Children’s Miracle Network supports Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare Hospital in St. Paul, with clinics in Minnetonka, Burnsville, and Duluth Minnesota.
“We had a great turnout,” said Linda Thiele, GMCU Mora branch manager. “The Mora branch raised $633 in our silent auction and collectively GMCU raised $4,207 for CMN. This amount will be matched by CO-OP Financial Services for a total donation of $8,414.”
In 2008, more than 20,000 patients went to Gillette Children’s Hospitals in Minnesota because they have the specialized skills, the advanced technology and the compassionate care that the patients need and deserve. Of those 20,000 patients, 61 were from Pine County, 41 were patients from Kanabec County, 127 patients from Mille Lacs County and 389 patients from Sherburne County - all areas that GMCU serves.
