While hosting the Aitkin Gobblers last Thursday in a section 7AA preview, Mora wasted no time jumping to a 26-16 halftime lead.
With few changes in the point spread during the second half, Mora cruised to a 64-51 victory. The second win in a row, Mora elevated its record to 9-7 and an undefeated 5-0 mark against sub section opponents.
“Andrew Good rebounded well for us and as a team we rebounded well,” head coach Jamie Wright said. “We do, however, need to start shooting better from the perimeter.”
Tyler Ulseth lead all scorers with 15 points, and Andrew Good added 13 to pace the Mustangs. Good snagged 14 rebounds to go along with his 13 points.
Conner Kolberg grabbed five boards, Jake Oslin dished out five assists and Aaron Oslin had three steals. Mora shot 47 percent from the field, but pesky turnovers kept the game closer than coaches would have liked.
Mora ended the game with 19 turnovers.
The Mustangs have a busy week ahead with games against Melrose (Tuesday), Rush City (Thursday), and Sauk Centre (Friday).
