To the editor:
I read with great interest the letter from Judy Soderstrom, a woman for whom I have great respect. And I thought I would like to give my comments about the recent transportation bill.
First let me say that I realize the price of gas has skyrocketed and it will only get worse as the price of oil shoots past $120 per barrel. This has put a strain on everyone’s budget and it hits us at more places than just the gas pump. But the state legislature has very little control over that.
What the state legislature does have control over is managing the state’s resources. I have four grown children and I am lucky enough to have them all living within a reasonable driving distance. I don’t have to commute very far for work, but I do frequently travel to the Cities to visit them.
I agree with you sir...
