Election night

Laura Birkaker (left), Cara Gillette (center) and Kanabec County Auditor/Treasurer Denise Snyder (right) count absentee ballots on election night. A total of 3,443 Kanabec County voters requested absentee ballots — over three times the number in 2016.

Unofficial results of the Nov. 3, 2020 general election have some changes since they were first reported in the Nov. 5, 2020 edition of the Kanabec County Times. Significant updates include: the final votes for Kyle Shepard made him  a winner of a Mora City Council seat; write-in winners for Ogilvie City Council listed.

In Minnesota, absentee ballots were accepted after election day if they were postmarked by Nov. 3. These unofficial results were completed on Nov. 10, 2020. No results are final until they are canvassed.
