Starting after July 4, Forest Avenue East in Mora from Highway 65 to North Lake St. will be under construction.

The planned scope of the project includes a three-foot excavation, grading, surfacing, curb and gutter improvements and ADA-compliant sidewalks.

Kanabec County Engineer Chad Gramentz estimated that the improvements will take about six to eight weeks, if the weather cooperates.

A detour route utilizing Union Street, and East Maple Avenue will be put in place. Construction is expected to begin just after July 4, with a completion date around Labor Day.
