The Kanabec County Economic Development Authority established a COVID-19 Micro Loan Fund for small businesses on April 28 and began accepting applications April 29. 

Businesses in Kanabec County that have been impacted by COVID-19 are eligible to apply. Businesses located in Brunswick, Kroschel and Peace Townships are ineligible because those townships opted not to participate in the Kanabec County EDA.

The city of Mora Economic Development Authority has distributed $31,000 to Mora businesses from its newly established emergency fund meant to assist to commercial businesses affected by COVID-19. City Administrator Lindy Crawford encouraged more businesses to apply.
