Those who travel on Highway 47 in Mille Lacs and Kanabec counties should plan for detours between Isle and Ogilvie as the Minnesota Department of Transportation will re-surface the road and replace bridges in 2020.

The estimated $14.1 million project will reconstruct 22 miles of road surface and improve drainage between Highway 27 in Isle and Highway 23 in Ogilvie. The project will also reconstruct two bridges near Kanabec County Road 25/Ann Lake, install turn lanes and replace or repair culverts. Work will begin in spring 2020 and will require detours.
