While the public is still able to visit the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora, they are officially not invited to attend the Mora American Legion Lee Goldsmith Post 201’s usual Memorial Day ceremony.

The Honor Guard will still be there to play taps and fire a 21-gun salute, but no chairs will be set out for the public. Names of service members lost will be read; there will be no guest speakers.

The event will be broadcast via Facebook Live by the Kanabec County Veterans at 10:30 a.m. May 25.
