Book Box

Little Book Boxes throughout Mora, in yards and in front of businesses offer free books for all ages and interests.

Little Book Boxes throughout the city of Mora have been visited heavily this year as more and more are established through town.

The Little Book Boxes are a project of Booktown Mora, a community literacy program dedicated to promoting enjoyment and education through reading.

Since its inception in 2003, Booktown Mora has provided over 250,000 books to 15 bookshelves and 26 Little Book Boxes. The bookshelves and Little Book Boxes are placed throughout the community of Mora to provide residents with easy access to no-cost, quality reading materials.

Due to COVID-19, Booktown Mora’s annual Scholastic Book Sale at the Kanabec County Fair was canceled. The book sale had been their main source of funding for 16 years.

Booktown Mora established a fundraiser to purchase books, to build and repair the bookshelves and Little Book Boxes.

The goal is to raise $5,000 in donations. To make a donation, visit
