A columbarium similar to this rendering will be installed at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora. The structure includes 48 niches which each hold a single urn of cremated remains.

The city of Mora’s Oakwood Cemetery will soon install its first columbarium— a wall-like structure designed to hold cremated remains in single niches.

The structure will be approximately 8 ft. long, 3 ft. feet wide, 4 ft. tall and have 48 niches.

The city of Mora will prepare a place for it near the Veterans Memorial on the north side of the cemetery. The columbarium itself is being purchased from and installed by Braham Monument.

The project is part of the Oakwood Cemetery’s capital improvement plan and will cost approximately $22,300.

While the city has received inquiries, they are not selling niches until the columbarium is installed. Date of installation is still being determined.
