Mora Municipal Airport (KJMR) will be hosting its annual Fly-In event on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. This year’s event will also include a static tractor display and an Airport Master Plan open house. Admission is free.
The event will open with the presentation of colors by the American Legion Club of Mora at 8 a.m. The Mora Lions Club will be serving an all-you-can eat pancake breakfast for $6 per person, with all proceeds going to the Lions Club to support community based projects and donations. Pilots in command eat for free. Hawk Aviation will be offering airplane rides for purchase and all pilots will receive a 5¢ discount on aviation fuel on the day of the event. Tractors are welcome.
Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc., airport engineering consultant, will be present 10 a.m.-12 p.m. to share information and gather input about the update of the 20-year master plan.
Come out to see various aircraft and tractors and enjoy a warm hearty breakfast. This is an event for the entire family, with the first 100 kids in attendance receiving a free gift.
Aircraft owners: underwing camping will be available the night of Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, with entertainment organized by local pilots.
