Dorothy Lewis, of Mora, died on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019. She was 90 years and 10 days old.  

She was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Moose Lake to John and Mabel (Carlson) Forsberg. She was the youngest of three daughters. 

She grew up in the Moose Lake area. As a young adult she moved to St. Paul to begin work.  

She was united in marriage to Darrell Lewis on May 8, 1948. They lived and farmed near Knife Lake until August 1997. After selling the farm she moved to a home in town and lived there for nearly 20 years.  In March 2016 she moved to Eastwood Senior Living.  She enjoyed the attention of her caregivers and made new friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrell; and two sisters, Jeanette Tangen and Betty Peterson.

She is survived by children, Marilyn (Jay) Mork of Lindstrom, Dan (Kristen) Lewis of Mora and Sandy (Steve) Bankers of Mora; daughter-in-law, Candy Eggert, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora.  Rick Martens officiated and provided the music.  Casket bearers were Kenny Ostenson, Aaron Mork, Dylan Bankers, MeeRa Bankers, Sarah Schildgen, Bill Schildgen and Ryan Moehn.
