He was born on Jan. 8, 1959, at the Kanabec Hospital in Mora, to Harold and Eileen (Barnhart) Janousek. He attended the Warman Country School for two years, then went on to attend Mora Public Schools where he graduated in 1977. He also enjoyed watching professional sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.

His passion in life was music. He played with numerous bands as a drummer ever since high school.  He also enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica and liked to try new instruments.

He was very important to so many people. He loved spoiling his nieces and nephews at Christmas with loads of presents and providing huge Fourth of July fireworks displays for family and friends. He was always full of jokes and laughter, entertaining everyone wherever he went.

He touched so many lives during his life and seemed to know everyone wherever he traveled. He was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, uncle, great-uncle, nephew and friend. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
