Robert “Bob” Arthur Steffen, of Ogilvie died on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. He was 79 years old.

He was born April 22, 1941 in Fairmont to Henry and Sophia (Broderson) Steffen. At the age of 8, the family moved up to Ogilvie, to the present day farm. He was one of seven siblings. He attended Lewis Lake country school for elementary before graduating from Ogilvie High School. After school he went into farming, which was the joy of his life. On Aug. 29, 1964 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Marjorie “Mitzi” Walton, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Ogilvie. Together they had three kids, Kim, Todd and Clint.

He was very involved in his church. He enjoyed gardening, farming, his Dalbo breakfast club and being with his family. In winter when farming was slower he loved cutting wood for future use. In summer you would always find him and his grandkids baling square bales. There was never a time he was completely idle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Orm, Jack and Gene; and sisters, Lee and Arlys.

He is survived by his wife, Mitzi; children, Kim (Roy) Bossen, Todd (Sharon) and Clint; grandchildren, Chelsea (Jake) Benson, Katie, Mariah (Alex) Hoyles, Bryce Bosen, Cole and Sophie; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Henry and William; sister, Dorthy Ann of Fairmont; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A public memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 -10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020 at the Siloa Lutheran in rural Braham. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the limited space at the church, the memorial service will be private and by invitation only. Inurnment will be in the Siloa Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham. Condolences may be posted at
