Robert “Bob” Paul Tipp, of Mora, died on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at St. Cloud Hospital with his family at his side, after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was 67 years old.
He was born on May 8, 1952, in Minneapolis to Elden and Dorothy (Bergman) Tipp. After high school He attended the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis, and then spent 12 years working as a court reporter for Kanabec and Mille Lacs counties. He spent his final 23 years in Anoka County before retiring. After retirement, he and wife, Sandy, spent their winters in Salt Springs, Florida, and summers back home in Minnesota.
He enjoyed spending time with family just visiting or off on some type of adventure. One of his favorite pastimes was traveling throughout the United States with his wife and their children, where they saw many sights and spent a lot of quality time together. Another favorite pastime was riding motorcycle. He loved playing cards, singing with bands, karaoke and dancing. Faith and family were in everything he did.
He was a great person. He always had time to listen and offer advice and could always put humor into it to lighten your spirit and help you find the silver lining.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy; parents; sisters, Pamela and Julie and other family members.
He is survived by three sons, Brandon Tipp of Mora, Troy Tipp of Aitkin and Eric Tipp of Aitkin; daughter, Angie Tipp of Mora: grandchildren, Brooke, Teegan, Alexander, Ava and Tyler; siblings, Bonnie (Jim) Keller, Paula (Curt) Thompson, Jon Tipp and James Tipp; numerous other family members and friends.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019, at the Trinity Lutheran church in Isle with Pastor Mark Maunula officiating. Music was provided by Vera Ricks and Annette Haggberg.
