She was born on Oct. 28, 1960, in Milaca to parents Raymond and Doris (Miller) Rippentrop. She grew up in Milaca, Brunswick and Mora before settling in Ogilvie where she graduated from Ogilvie High School in 1979. She worked at Brighter Day while still in high school. On June 22, 1985, she was united in marriage to Paul Arlan DeBoer at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ogilvie. They made their home in the Ogilvie area and built on Paul’s family’s farm. She found joy in cooking and baking for people. She loved to make meals from fresh garden veggies and meats produced on the farm. Sunday dinners were her favorite time to spend with her family. She enjoyed watching cooking shows for inspiration, making crafts and keeping her home and gardens tidy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandsons.
