Roger W. Baumert of Jurupa Valley, California, formerly of Mora, died peacefully at home on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019. He was 85 years old.

He was born on May 20, 1934, in Ogilvie, and attended Mora High School. He moved to Riverside, California in 1951.

After 35 years with Southern California Edison, He retired in 1989. His very industrious life included a private pilot’s license, building his own Volkswagen  dune buggy and a two place open cockpit Marquart Charger airplane. He also built Golden Age of Air racing replica airplanes as a long time member of Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter One at Flabob Airport in Riverside.

All of his family and friends will truly miss this amazing man who positively impacted so many of our lives.

He is survived by his wife, Gabriella; her three children; and many adoring nieces, nephews and their families.
