Roy O. Underdahl, of Ogilvie, died on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021. He was 65 years old.

He was born on Sept. 12, 1955 at the St. Barnabas Hospital in Minneapolis, to parents Peter and Hazel (Jones) Underdahl. He was proud to serve his country during the Vietnam War. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Halsey and the USS Hancock.

He was united in marriage to Janet in 1978. He worked at 3M as an electric designer and also owned and operated Roy Underdahl Repair; doing auto repair and body work. He had to take early retirement because of failing health.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jan; and brothers, Jerry, Allen and Donald.

He is survived by his sons, Shannon (Missy) and Chad; daughter, Amber; grandsons, Dylan, Adam and Archer; granddaughter, Anna; sisters, Karen and Judy; brothers, Bud and Earl; brother-in-law, Roger; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially Mike and Yvonne Hemminger and Lynn Bruse.

A gathering of family and friends was held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home. Military Honors were provided by the Ogilvie America Legion Post 640. Condolences may be posted online at www.aifuneralhome.com.
