Shirley Harriet Tchida of Mora, died on Monday, Aug. 31, 2020. She was 87 years old. 

She was born on June 24, 1933, in Buffalo, to Gladys and William Boehlke. She was the oldest of five children. On May 5, 1951 she was united in marriage to Duane (Swede) Tchida. They moved to Lauderdale and started their family. She had six children, three girls and three boys.

Over the years she enjoyed many activities with her family, such as camping, get togethers and Sunday drives. In 1994 she and her husband moved to Mora.  She worked as a cook in nursing homes; she also worked in housekeeping in her later years. 

She enjoyed her houseplants, and she definitely had a green thumb. She enjoyed going for coffee with her girlfriends and loved having company over, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; parents, William and Gladys; brother, Willis Boehlke; son, David Tchida; and granddaughter, Rachel Jaeger.

She is survived by her siblings; Bruce (Marilyn) Boehlke, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Bonnie (Vern) Foyt, East Bethel, Mark (Sue) Boehlke, Maple Grove; children; Nancy Seeck, Edwards, Dale (Kathy) Tchida, Blaine, Duane (Judy) Tchida, Henriette, Jackie (Mark) Lindgren, Mora and Kimberly Tchida, Mora; grandchildren; Courtney (Don Rosenthal) Tchida, St. Paul, Shannon (Brian) Tchida, Colorado, Aaron (Larissa Lodin) Lindgren, Shoreview, Doug (Amanda) Lindgren, St. Paul, Amy Brouillard (Craig), Mora, Dusty Tchida, Pine City, Cody Tchida, North Dakota and Casey Tchida, Pine City;and great-grandchildren; Nancy, Hana, Kate, Alex, Miles, Eevi and Aleister.

Private services are being planned.
