Waneta Darleen Hansen, of Ogilvie, died peacefully on Thursday Nov. 14, 2019, at her home. She was 78 years old. 

She was born on Jan. 22, 1941, in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Clifford and Malitta (Schubert) Beesaw. 

She was united in marriage to Wyatt Hansen on Oct. 24, 1964. They lived in the metro area before settling in Ogilvie with their one son, Dean. 

She worked throughout her life at various locations within the area as a clerk. In her later years, she enjoyed working with the local youth at Family Pathways. She loved being outside working on her flower gardens and being with her dogs. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. 

She is survived by her son, Dean Hansen of Ogilvie; grandchildren, Keenan, Kaitlin and Kallie Hansen; brother, Wayne (Karen) Beesaw of Bryan, Texas; sisters-in-law, Marion Mattson of Isanti, Barb (Dan) Stevens of Mora; longtime friend, LeRoy Nelson of Mora; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora. Inurnment was at Fish Lake Cemetery in Mora. Arrangements were handled by Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted at www.aifuneralhome .com
