Mora splits quartet of rivalry games
May 5: Milaca 3, Mora 0
For the second time this season the Wolves defeated the Mustangs – this time in a much different game than the first (the first game was a 10-8 loss in eight innings).
The Mustangs faced the same pitcher as the first game, but this time couldn’t get anything going offensively.
Mora only managed four hits, with sophomore Dylan Graves getting two of them, while Nick Bliss and Ben Beck each had doubles.
Mora was also 0-9 at the plate with runners in scoring position during the game.
The game remained scoreless into the fifth inning when Milaca got a couple of runs with two outs.
Senior lefthander Ben Felland pitched a fine game, but because of the lack of offensive support suffered his first loss of the season.
Felland only allowed six hits; he struck out one and walked two.
