Favorite thing about sports: The community, coaches and teammates are always supportive and I like all the people you meet along the way. It makes me mentally tough to run the 5K.

What sports or activities are you involved in?: Cross country skiing, golf, working at K&R meats and the golf course and doing some landscaping.

Person who has influenced you: Cooper Lennox is the reason I am in this sport, he is really good and supportive. Someone good to look up to and a really good all around athlete.

How do you prepare for a meet?: Listen to music on the bus ride to the meet. When I get to the course, I run it and strategize.

Highlight of athletic career: Going to state, placing third with cross country running and placing in the top 12 with cross country ski team.

What advice do you have for someone wanting to come out and run cross country?: Do a little bit of running in the summer, the coaches will help a lot. Do the work outs during practice and it will all work out in the end.

Future goals: After graduating this year I want to go to a two year tech or trade school to get an electrician degree.

From the Coach: “Hunter worked very hard over the summer. He finished seventh overall at our first meet and his hard work has led to major improvement. He is also a leader in the school. You can often see Hunter helping clean up the bleachers after home volleyball and basketball games.” -Head Coach Chris Goebel
