Tucker Fore, JV Allstar, senior

Tell us about the sports and activities you are involved in: I have played high school hockey for four years and golf for two years now.

What is your favorite thing about being involved in sports?: It keeps me busy, and I get to do that with my closest friends. 

Tell us about a person who has influenced you: Honestly, I believe all of my teammates have always pushed me to do my best. 

What is the highlight of your athletic career?: Winning the North Shore hockey tournament twice in a row. 

With spring practices and games suspended, how are you staying active?: I have been rollerblading and learning how to skateboard. 

What are some of your goals for the future?: I plan on going to the College of Biology and eventually pursuing a medical degree.

From Coach Sarah Ellstrom: Tucker joined our golf program for the first time last year, and he definitely made a positive impact on our team.  He has continuously demonstrated academic and athletic leadership during his time at Mora High School.  What has impressed me most about him during his time with Mora golf was his endless positivity and willingness to learn. I am very proud of Tucker and what he has been able to accomplish during his time at MHS and Mora Golf.

Honstrom

Hunter Honstrom, Varsity Golf, senior

Tell us about the sports and activities you are involved in: I am in cross country running, skiing and golf. 

What is your favorite thing about being involved in sports?: Being involved in sports gives me the opportunity to learn how to work hard for my goals and challenge myself to get better on a daily basis.

Tell us about a person who has influenced you: My parents have a major influence in my life. They have set an example that if you work hard for your dreams and stay humble you can achieve whatever you put your mind to.

What is the highlight of your athletic career?: For golf my highlight has been making All Conference my junior year and making it to second day of sections my junior year.

With spring practices and games suspended, how are you staying active?: I have been running everyday, I have also been hunting, and every week I work a couple days. 

What are some of your goals for the future?: My future goals are to graduate from St. Cloud Technical Community College for electrical and become an electrician. 

From Coach Sarah Ellstrom: Hunter has really impressed me during his time with the golf program not only because of his golfing ability but also because of his positive leadership and attitude, as well as his continuous support for his teammates.  I have enjoyed working with Hunter, and am proud of what he has accomplished at Mora High School and during his time with Mora Golf.

Burski

Nate Burski, Varsity Golf, senior

Tell us about the sports and activities you are involved in: I am in hockey, football and golf. In my free time, I like to play video games with my friends along with spreadsheeting about random stuff.

What is your favorite thing about being involved in sports?: I love working with other people and sports allows me to do that. The relationships that are created in sports will always have an impact on my life. 

Tell us about a person who has influenced you: When it comes to sports, my brother has influenced me the most because I have always wanted to be better than him at sports. When it comes to life in general, my parents have influenced me the most. 

What is the highlight of your athletic career?: My junior season in hockey was my best season statistically, as I was awarded All-Conference honors. Our team was also very successful, and I had the most fun I have ever had playing hockey with the group of guys we had. 

With spring practices and games suspended, how are you staying active?: Well, it really looks at how you define “staying active.” I have actively been sitting in my chair playing video games while putting off homework to the very last minute.

What are some of your goals for the future?: I hope to graduate from University of Minnesota Duluth with my degree in biochemistry and eventually make it to medical school and become a diagnostic radiologist.

From Coach Sarah Ellstrom: Nate has been with the program throughout his high school career and is a leader on our team. He has always connected well with his teammates with his outgoing and personable demeanor. I am very proud of him and what he has done during his time at Mora High School and in Mora Golf!
