The Mora Blue Devils now know their opponent for the second round of the state amateur baseball tournament. Mora will be playing the New London-Spicer Twins at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25 in Delano.

New London-Spicer was a first round victor over Howard Lake by a score of 2-0 on Friday, Aug.16, in Maple Lake. The Twins will enter the game against the Blue Devils with an impressive 25-4 record. “They have a very good number one pitcher, some big hitters in their line-up and play good defense. They are a very good team, and we will have to play our best to have a chance to beat them,” said manager Jayson Pautzke.

This is the fifth appearance for the Blue Devils in the state amateur tournament, but they are looking for their first victory after suffering first game losses in their prior four appearances. For more information on the state tournament visit mnbaseball.org
