Ogilvie Boys Basketball Head Coach Sam Weaver shares about the ongoing 2021 season:

How is the makeup of the varsity team different from last year?: We had two seniors who played big roles last year graduate so we have had a few younger athletes stepping up and filling those roles.

What are the team’s goals and priorities for the season?: To take advantage of every opportunity we have this year and get better every day.

What pandemic-related changes are most challenging and how are the athletes adapting to those changes?: The masks are a challenge and are a difficult thing to get used to while practicing and competing but we are growing accustomed to them.

What do you hope these young athletes will take away from their sports experience this season?: To continue to push themselves to be the best that they can be on the court and in the classroom.

What is the best way for fans to support the team this year?: If you are not family and can’t support the team at home games, to tune in to the live streams and follow the teams’ progress from home.
