Jon McBroom (left) and Nathan Kirschner (right) were inducted into the Mora High School Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Sept. 6. 


The Mustang Booster Club inducted two new members into the Mora High School Athletic Hall of Fame in a pregame ceremony Friday, Sept. 6. 


Jon McBroom served as superintendent from 1990-2000. He oversaw the development of the Trailview athletic facilities. He volunteered as a part time assistant football coach for nine years, and track coach for two years. McBroom said, “It was a way to give back for the many positive experiences my children received as students in Mora.” Jon and his wife Cindy, current live in Northfield. 


Nathan Kirschner was a three sport athlete. He lettered three times in football and was part of the 1996 state championship team. He lettered three times in hockey and made the all-state tournament team his senior year. Kirschner lettered twice in track and was all conference his senior year. He attended St. John’s University and was an All American in 2000, the same season the Johnnies were the division III national runner-up. Nathan is married to Jessica and they have one son and one daughter. They live in North Mankato.
