UW-Stout libero Steph Cannon of Mora was selected at the WIAC Kwik Trip Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Over five matches last week, Cannon finished with 130 digs over five matches during the week, averaging 6.90 digs per set. She recorded at least 20 digs in all five matches, including a high of 33 against Luther College (Iowa). Her totals included 20 digs against Hamline University, 31 against St. Olaf College, 22 against Bethel University and 24 against University of Minnesota-Morris.

Cannon last season set the school career record for digs and now has 1,823 career digs. For the season, Cannon leads the WIAC in digs, averaging 6.02 per set and has 259 total. Cannon is ranked 23rd nationally. 

The Blue Devils hosted UW-Platteville, Tuesday, Sept. 17 to open the home and conference season.
