Mora's Kobe Swanson carries the ball on a 48 yard touchdown run during Friday night's football game at Esko.

The Mustangs traveled to Esko Friday, Oct. 30, and remained  undefeated with an impressive 40-18 victory. A balanced rushing attack was once again key as Mora rushed for 265 yards with four ball carriers getting at least 10 carries. After allowing a long Esko touchdown run in the first quarter that cut the deficit to 14-6, Mora dominated the second quarter to take a 28-6 lead into halftime.

FROM COACH TROY ERICKSON:

“Our offense took advantage of some short fields in the first half. We also got a few good chunk plays out of our passing offense. The defense maybe gave up a few more yards rushing than we like, but they held up holding a good offense to just 18 points. Even though our next opponent, Crosby-Ironton, has been struggling a bit, we need to play really well to prevail.”

UP NEXT:

Mora hosts Crosby-Ironton at 6:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6. The Rangers will enter the game with a 1-3 record and coming off a 7-0 loss to Pine City last Friday night.
