East Central Regional Library is re-branding the library, now featuring Sherlock the fox. The libraries are also offering new library cards that come with a key tag.
Sherlock the fox has been the ECRL mascot and the symbol of the young readers program for many years- and now he’s part of the official logo. The fox symbolizes wisdom, guidance, creativity, passion and cleverness.
ECRL now also has new library cards that include the new logo and color scheme. Each card also comes with a key tag.
For library patrons interested in getting the new card, head to the ECRL branch of your choice and talk to a staff member. There is a $1 charge for a new library card for current ECRL patrons. If you’re getting your very first ECRL library card, there is no charge.
East Central Regional Library has 14 branches in six counties.
In addition to checking out materials from libraries, cards also give patrons access to the ECRL’s digital library that offers eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines that can be accessed from home.
