Mia L. Besemann, 58, of Finlayson died after a head-on collision on Highway 65 at approximately 6:35 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2.
Besemann was a bus driver for Mora Public Schools.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, Besemann was driving south on Hwy 65 near mile post 73 (approximately 8 miles north of Mora) in a 2007 Buick Lucerne. Her vehicle was struck head-on when a northbound Ram truck crossed into the southbound lane.
The driver of the truck was Christopher G. Stafford, 46, of Braham which had two occupants: Scott E. Axell, 31, of Brook Park and Trenton I. Broll, 30, of Brook Park. Broll received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Welia Health hospital in Mora.
According to the report, Besemann was wearing a seatbelt; the occupants of the truck were not. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
