Belinda Renee French, of Ogilvie, died unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota with her husband and mom by her side. She was 53 years old.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky to parents Stanley and Phyllis (Geisler) Visser.  She grew up in Ogilvie and graduated from Ogilvie High School in 1986. She went on to Pine Technical College where she received a degree in accounting.  In 1994, she was blessed with the birth of her son, Kristoffer.

On April 29, 2000, she was united in marriage to Anthony “Tony” French in Mora.  They made their home in the Mora and Quamba area for a few years before moving to South Dakota. They lived in Sioux Falls for nine years where she worked for Premier Bank Card in customer service. They returned to the Ogilvie area to be closer to family.

She enjoyed working outdoors and especially loved tending to her flower gardens. She created huge vegetable gardens where she grew tons of tomatoes to make and can salsa. She loved to cook and could often be found in the kitchen whipping up a wonderful meal for family and friends.

She had a special place in her heart for children and was always ready to take care of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and was blessed to foster a few kids in the recent years.

She always kept a positive attitude in life. Even though she experienced many hardships, she never let anything hold her back. She will be dearly missed.
