D Johnson

Donna Mae Johnson died on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021 at St. Clare Living Community in Mora. She was 84 years old.

She was born on Feb. 23, 1937, to Erik and Celia Spleiss in Osseo. She was one of seven children. She went to school in Osseo and on Dec. 8, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ronald E. Johnson. They lived in the Kroschel area until their retirement when they moved to Mora. 

She loved to make quilts and share homemade treats with family and friends. She also enjoyed volunteering at One More Time. She and her husband made annual trips to Hawaii for 27 years and made many friends there.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; parents, Erik and Celia; sisters, Betty, Dorothy and Ruthie; brother, Joe; and grandchildren, Amanda, Gwen and Rebecca.

She is survived by her sisters, Erna and Lois; children, Laurie (Bob) Haugen of Brook Park, Vicki Lynn of Mora, Connie (Darris) Loose of Brook Park, Jeff (Lisa) Johnson of Mora, Jackie Johnson (John Haug) of Lakewood, Colorado and Wally (Susan) Johnson of Branson, Missouri; several grandchildren; greatgrandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mora with Rev. Anthony Cloose officiating. Music is being provided by Karen Kirschner Danielson. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Casket bearers are Donna’s grandchildren. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Kroschel.
