Glen Allman, of Mora, died on Monday, July 12, 2021, surrounded by family and friends at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. He was 61 years old.

He was born on Feb. 26, 1960 in Mora, to parents Leslie and Anna (Erickson) Allman. He graduated from Mora High School in 1978. He began his life long career in construction at Redstone in Mora right after high school. In 1990, he took a job with the State of Minnesota in highway maintenance and project inspection where he continued to work until his passing.

He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and was active with the choir and played trumpet in the brass ensemble. 

He spent many years helping with trail maintenance for the Vasaloppet ski races. He loved to travel especially his yearly golf trips, taking cruises, trips to Las Vegas, fishing trips to Canada and gathering at the family cabin on Cadotte Lake. Most of all, he loved his family and the time spent with them. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna; brother, Steve; and mother-in-law, Deanna Akkerman.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Bethany (Dustin) Smith and Rebecca (Quinten) Maslonkowski; grandchildren, Dayton, Aiden, Cadence and Kyler; father, Leslie Allman; brother, Jeff (Coleen) Allman; sister, Trudy (Harry) Urban; father-in-law, John Akkerman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held on Friday, July, 16, 2021, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Mora with Pastor Doug Larson officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora. Arrangements are by the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora. Condolences may be posted at
