Janice Ann Kleven died on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Welia Health in Mora. She was 81 years old.
Janice was born in Princeton on March 27, 1941, to Wendell and Eleanor (Matschenbacher) Wallskog. She was united in marriage to Gilbert (Bud) Kleven on April 1, 1967, in Ogilvie, and they made their home in Mora.
She grew up working in her dad’s meat shop with her sisters and brothers. She worked at the Kanabec Hospital for over 30 years. When she was younger, she enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens.Â
Janice always looked forward to her trips out west and visiting the mountains. She was always ready for a card game with family and friends. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking and baking for them. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her the most joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert (Bud) Kleven; sister, Judy Stark; brothers, Daryl and Butch Wallskog; and her parents, Wendell and Eleanor Wallskog.
Janice is survived by her sons; Tracy (Elle) Kleven and Rusty (Kristie) Kleven; granddaughters, Alicia (Jason), Lindsie, Kloie, Paige, Kaitlyn and Margaret; great-grandsons, Kaden, Karsen, Hunter and Cameron; sisters, Gerri Simonson, Cindy Persson and Deb Herigies; and brother, Dewey Wallskog.
A memorial service was held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home in Mora with Fr. Derek Wiechmann officiating. Visitation was from 4 until 5:30 p.m. also at the funeral home.
