She was born in Minneapolis to Charles and Stella (Vardon) Albee on Sept. 2, 1937. She attended school in Minneapolis and lived in the Blaine/Coon Rapids area until 1985.

She was united in marriage to Philip Niesen in 1954 and had three daughters; Susan, Kathy and Judy and one son, David; she also lost a set of twins. They were divorced in 1961.

She was a homemaker and worked for Ball Electronics as well as cleaning houses and doing in home day care. She loved animals, antiques and collectable dolls, and was an avid seamstress.

She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their activities. She loved being outside, especially getting a nice tan at the pool in the summer.  In fall she loved the leaves, and her favorite colors were red and plaid (red/black).
