Philip Wayne Caza died and left his earthly home on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021. to go to his heavenly home. He was 84 years old.
He was born in Mora, on Nov. 24, 1937, to James and Blanche (Cutler) Caza. He had five siblings, Eugene, Arlene, James, Donald and Judy. He was a wonderful loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. In his life he enjoyed many things: fishing, hunting, trapping, snowmobiling and riding horse (more so in his younger years).
He loved to fix things. Everyone would say if Phil can’t fix it, it can’t be fixed. He met the love of his life in 1955. They were united in marriage on July 22, 1961, at Quamba Baptist Church. After marriage they resided in Lake Elmo for two years. He worked at Warners Manufacturing for seven years. Then in 1962, they had their first child, Lynae Joy. In 1963, they moved to the Mora area where they resided for many more years. In 1967 they bought a farm in the Pomroy area where they raised cattle, pigs and several other animals. On July 3, 1969, they welcomed their son, Joseph Asa into the world.
He worked at Aurelius in Braham, Federal Cartridge in New Brighton and then, in June of 1964, he found his dream job as a heavy equipment operator with Arcon Construction out of Mora. He continued to work at Arcon for 33 years and then worked at PCI for two years before retiring.
In 1997, he retired. During his retirement he and his wife spent many weekends fishing in Canada and area lakes. He loved his time spent with family especially during the holidays. He loved teasing and playing pranks on family and friends. He will be greatly missed, but we know he is with Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; siblings, Eugene (Evelyn) Caza, Arlene Caza, James Caza, Donald Caza, Judy (George) Helmbrecht; and many other loved ones too numerous to mention.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Pat; daughter, Lynae (Bill) Rappl; son, Joseph (Jenny) Caza; grandchildren, Joshua (Terri) Rappl, Jonathan (Brittany) Rappl, Justin (Kaylee) Rappl, Mackenzie (Jordan) Caza and Nathanial (Kyleah) Caza; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Jayden, Sophia, Parker, Connor, Laila Rappl, Berkleigh Hecht, Rhett and Rory Caza; sisters-in-law, Pat Caza and Betty Caza; and many relatives and friends.
