The winter cold is fast approaching and the Mora Library has been busy keeping Kanabec County warm. Not only does the library offer a free space to hang out, warm up and enjoy a lovely view of the lake, but they have also reintroduced the ever popular coffee station. A variety of coffee flavors are available for $1.25. You can also purchase cocoa, tea and cider (when available) for $.75. All money raised through the coffee station goes back into the library to help fund events and supplies that further literacy in our community.

Need some winter gear or have some to share? The library is distributing warm hats, mittens, scarves and more for anyone who may need them. Donations of new or gently used winter materials are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the library service desk any time the library is open.

Don’t miss the Nailed It! Christmas program. This fun and creative activity encourages families and friends to compete to make the best looking Rice Crispy Christmas tree with hilarious and tasty results. Each kit will provide instructions, dry ingredients and a deadline for you and your family or friends to complete the challenge. Once your challenge is complete, we ask that you share your results with us on the library’s social media platforms so we can admire your creations. Space is limited and registration is required for this event. If you are interested in participating, please register online or speak to a library staff member.

If you have questions about events going on at the library, please speak to Mora librarian, Katherine, during library open-hours or give her a call at (320) 679-2642. You can also reach the Friends of the Library by visiting their Facebook page or contacting them at
