SCHOOL BOARD MEETING 

Approved minutes Monday – October 11, 2021

6:00 p.m.

Ogilvie Board Room

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Board Members present: Hickerson, Heins, Koenings, Peterson, Smith and Gunderson.

Board Member absent: None

Also present:  Superintendent Belsheim, Becky Coleman, Luke Pfotenhauer and Laurie Torgeson.

Chair Hickerson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone.

Member Koenings moved to approve the agenda as presented. Discussion followed. Motion seconded by Member Peterson. Motion prevailed unanimously.

Open Forum: No one addressed Open Forum.

ACTION ITEMS:

Member Gunderson moved to approve Jenna Maciej, Child Care Leave (October 26, 2021 through February 15, 2022). Motion seconded by Member Smith. Motion prevailed unanimously.

Member Heins moved to approve Myron Carlson, Long-Term Substitute Bus Driver (October 26, 2021 through June 2, 2022). Motion seconded by Member Smith. Motion prevailed unanimously.

Member Gunderson moved to approve Tyler Cadenhead, Long-Term Substitute Van Driver (October 12, 2021 through June 2, 2022). Motion seconded by Member Peterson. Motion prevailed unanimously.

Member Koenings moved to approve Kayla Asmus, In-District Teacher Substitute (October 26, 21 through June-2, 2022). Motion seconded by Member Gunderson. Motion prevailed unanimously

Member Heins moved to approve November 2, 2021 Election Judges: Jerry Tvedt, Head Judge a.m., Dennis Beier, Head Judge p.m., Linda Spears, Janice Ambrose, Robin Etter a.m., Geri Simonson p.m.

Substitute Judges: Heather Heins, Becky Meyman and Katie Jacobs.

NON-ACTION ITEMS:

Review Seniority Lists

School Board Goals - Strategic Planning for the long term will be done with the new board in place.  Current board members will set forth goals for the 2021-2022 school year.

COVID-19 Update - 1 staff member currently active and 5 students on quarantine.

Other:  Board members were given district MCA scores and will review them together at the next meeting. 

Member Heins moved to adjourn at 7:19 p.m.  Member Koenings seconded. Motion prevailed unanimously.
