Junior Noah Klapmeier eyes up a shot on hole 14 at Stones Throw Golf Course in Milaca on Thursday, May 5. He and his Mora teammates combined for a first place, 326 score. Individually, Klapmeier took first place overall with a 77. 

 

The Mora boys golf team has put themselves in prime position to win the Granite Ridge Conference Championship, mainly battling Albany and St. Cloud Cathedral for the top spot. Of the four conference meets this season, Albany as a team shot a 1,305. Mora shot 1,320 and St. Cloud shot 1,336. The conference championship will solely be determined by the two-day conference meet next week on Monday, May 16, and Wednesday, May 18, at Blackberry Ridge in Sartell. The last time Mora won a conference championship was back when they were a part of the Rum River Conference, where they won in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
