The Mora tennis team improved to 7-4 on the season after beating North Branch 5-2 on their home court Monday, Sept. 19. Lauren Kohlgraf defeated Ashley Bistodeau 6-3, 6-2. Mya Peterson defeated Paulina Rossini 6-1, 6-2. Eighth grader Emma Axtell defeated Rebekah Wurdemann of North Branch 6-1, 6-3. In doubles; eighth grader Addy Axtell and junior Parker Ennis defeated Jillian Horsfall and Jaden Volkman of North Branch 6-2, 6-2. Juniors Hazel Carda and Teagan Oslin defeated Katelyn Money and Molly Bushinger of North Branch 6-1, 6-4.Â
Mora lost to a powerhouse Pine City team on Sept. 6, 0-7 but quickly got back in the win column with a 4-3 victory over Aitkin on Sept. 15. Mora heads to Pierz on Thursday, Sept. 22, before heading back to Aitkin on Monday, Sept. 26. They host Little Falls on Tuesday, Sept., 27. All meets start at 4:30 p.m.Â
